Director of Nursing – Pediatrics (Full-Time, Office-Based)

Location: Hermitage PA
Schedule: Full-Time | In-Office with Field Visits | Mileage Reimbursed

Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as the Director of Nursing (DON) for our pediatric home care division. This leadership role oversees all aspects of clinical care for our pediatric clients, including Nursing Services, as well as Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), and Speech Therapy (ST). The DON will ensure quality care, regulatory compliance, and seamless coordination across all disciplines to support medically fragile children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the pediatric nursing department, including RNs and LPNs.

• Oversee and coordinate OT, PT, and Speech Therapy services to ensure cohesive care.

• Conduct initial assessments, admissions, and supervisory visits for pediatric patients.

• Develop and review individualized care plans that include all therapy services.

• Audit daily documentation from nurses and therapists for accuracy and compliance.

• Collaborate with therapy providers and ensure timely communication and follow-up.

• Serve as the main point of contact for families, field staff, and leadership.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and agency policies at all times.

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Pennsylvania.

• 3+ years of pediatric nursing experience, with supervisory responsibilities as a plus.

• Experience working with or coordinating OT, PT, and Speech services preferred.

• Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance and EMR documentation.

• Comfortable traveling for home visits (local area only; mileage reimbursed).

• Experience with diverse populations and behavioral health needs is a plus.

• Familiarity with HHAeXchange is preferred.
