Personal Care Assistant (PCA) – Home Care | Mercer County, PA Nuchoice Home Care | Jamestown, PA

About the Role

Nuchoice Home Care is hiring compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide in-home care to clients across Mercer County and surrounding areas. You'll work one-on-one with clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and quality of life. Flexible scheduling available — part-time and full-time hours.

What You'll Do

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Provide medication reminders
• Support mobility, transfers, and light exercises
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe home environment
• Document completed tasks and accurately record clock-in/clock-out times using our electronic visit verification (EVV) system
• Communicate and coordinate with care team members as needed

What We're Looking For

• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Ability to assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, hygiene)
• Basic cooking and meal prep skills
• Light housekeeping ability
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in a client's home
• Prior home care or caregiving experience a plus — but not required, we will train the right person

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• High school diploma or GED preferred
